Our Services

We provide mobile, in home therapy and telehealth therapy to individuals in Monmouth County, NJ. Services include evaluations and therapy, serving ages 0 - 18 years old. We are a private pay practice and do not accept insurance. We serve children and adolescents presenting with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to: expressive and receptive language deficits, oral motor weakness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech sound disorders, articulation disorders, social pragmatic disorders and augmentative alternative communication (AAC).

About

Amanda is a New Jersey certified, American Speech and Hearing (ASHA) certified Speech Language Pathologist and owner of AGK Therapy LLC. Amanda attended Stockton University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. From there, she went on to receive her Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from Montclair State University.

Amanda has had vast experiences in her career so far including working with both children and adults in hospital, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, and private practice settings. One thing remains constant: Amanda will provide evidence based, functional therapy for both children and adults.

Amanda is trained and certified in Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) for children, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) for adults/children, and the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA) for adults. The core belief of her practice is providing realistic, functional therapy to every one that walks in the door.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and cat, as well as enjoys cooking and hiking.

  • We offer speech and language therapy services from ages 0-18. We treat and diagnose expressive and receptive language deficits, oral motor weakness, speech sound disorders, articulation disorders, social pragmatic disorders and assist with augmentative alternative communication (AAC).

  • After a free 15 minute consultation, Amanda will decide if a speech/language evaluation is warranted. Evaluations are 60 minutes and will include an intake questionnaire as well as formal/informal testing. After an evaluation is completed, it will be determined between Amanda and the caregiver a plan of care moving forward meaning how many days therapy can be. All therapy sessions are 45 minutes.

  • Private pay ensures that therapy is started as soon as possible, and removes insurance clearances as well as the possibility of insurance being denied. Private pay therapy is an excellent way to supplement if your child is already completing therapy in school.

    Not only this, but private pay sessions allow for creativity and flexibility when it comes to how sessions are structured. Typically insurance driven/school speech therapy are dictated by strict guidelines. Private therapy works for our business, and we hope it works for you as well.

    We do offer the possibility of providing super bills if you need to submit to your insurance company.
